Confidence in climbing is something I have struggled with ever since the first day I put on climbing shoes. I won't pretend that I have mastered my mindset, but I have spent the years taking steps in the right direction. I certainly can't and won't speak for anyone else, but what I found works for me is exploring my comfort zone. I have heard so many people claim that you need to ""break out"" of your comfort zone - unfortunately I found that approach can create greater fear within myself. Instead, I explore the boundaries of my comfort and play within those. Over time those boundary areas become more central, and I find that my comfort zone has expanded without me having to think too much about it. An odd approach? Maybe. Figuring out what works best for YOU and pursuing that? Always.
