Since my last post in this category, I have only logged 11 running miles. The weather is so tricky this time of year up here in the great Pacific Northwest. The forecast is all over the place so I have been climbing inside more often and hitting up a few extra yoga classes. In fact, I have rock climbed the last four consecutive days and was all set to take a much needed rest day today. It’s Sunday, football day, and the Seahawks play in prime time tonight. My plan was to stay in the kitchen and make some great food (a new culinary post will be forth coming) and watch my fantasy football team rack up the points. Then my day of rest would culminated in a wonderful dinner and a Seahawk victory (both of those are still possible right now!)

But when I woke up this morning the sun was actually shining, despite a cold, rainy forecast. My husband and I looked at one another and new what we had to do! We put on a lot of running clothes, as the temperature was 39° F, and headed to one of our favorite paths. The wind chill brought the “feels like” temp a little lower, and I can’t say it was my favorite run but we did a quick 4 miles. His was quicker than mine, as usual. We were both happy that we took advantage of this small window and headed home.

Then, two hours later this happened.

We feel pretty lucky to get this workout in time to miss this massive hailstorm. These pictures are from my warm home and there is snow in the forecast for the next few days, so who knows when we will get another opportunity to run!
